Being involved in theatre and performance often involves periods of intense activity and high adrenaline levels which can result in feelings of depletion or 'burn out'. Led by Angelika Grohmann, who has taught Yoga for over 25 years, this workshop will focus on restorative postures, breathing exercises and some basic meditation techniques which can help us to calm down and nourish the nervous system - so we can be readier for the next challenge that life brings.

Led by leading sound designer Gareth Fry (Complicite, DV8, Katie Mitchell) this workshop will cover how we hear and perceive the world, how our imagination affects what we think we hear and how this can be used in performance making. Using a mix of discussion, practical exercises, film clips, demonstrations and hands-on experience, we'll cover a wide range of topics; from a beginner's guide to the science of sound and how we perceive it, and introductions to the technology and creative techniques sound designers have at their fingertips.
