Run classes teaching theatrical techniques that will equip young people with confidence, increased language skills and help them develop in all areas of life.
Create and direct productions for children and young people. (varying age)
Create and or Lead various workshops
Create and follow lesson plan
Prepare teaching aids /props for each class where necessary.
Liaise with Programme Director regarding plans and arrangements for the sessions (including teaching assistant/translator).
When necessary be ready to substitute another teacher, if called upon by the Programme Director.
Be an advocate for MeiSha Drama and participating in marketing when required.
Contribute to the programme content design when required
Admin as required, pertaining to progress of students or the course
Short Evaluation report at the end of each project/camp/term
Maintain excellent communication with teachers, parents and students
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE /QUALIFICATIONS
At least 2 years professional experience as a theatre practitioner / facilitator/or teacher working with children and young people
Basic performing skills (or confidence to demonstrate)
Native/fluent English speaker
Excellent communicator of ideas
Enjoy working both independently and as part of a team
Be open to / have an interest in Chinese culture (not expected to know Mandarin)
Be adaptable and flexible especially to last minute changing dates and schedules.
Computer and word processing skills

WELFARE AND SALARY
RETURN AIRFARE FROM GB PROVIDED
ACCOMODATION (apartment) PROVIDED
SALARY range from 13000 -18000RMB (before Tax) per month depending on experience and length of contract
Working hours: Average 40-46 hours per week, maximum of 6 days a week. (working hours are changeable and often involve weekends)
Starting Date?February 18th 2019
Contract Period: Minimum 6 months; One year preferred.
