Drama Teacher - Part Time, Helen O'Grady Drama Academy

Hours: 5 hours teaching per week. Days: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. (Times and venues: Selby Community Centre, 5pm – 6pm (Tuesdays), Manor Farm Youth Centre, Tadcaster 5pm – 6pm (Thursdays), St Mary’s Church Hall, Garforth 4pm – 7pm (Fridays)

Wage: £14 whilst training (training will last 3 / 4 weeks) £17 when fully trained. Travel allowance also paid. 4 weeks holiday pay pro rata per annum. Generous bonuses paid for recruitment and retention of students.

We are looking for a creative, energetic, experienced teacher to join our fabulous team in Helen O' Grady York and North Yorkshire. Think you have what it takes to be an energetic 'big kid' and inspire students through our excellent curriculum?

Qualifications: Must hold a degree in drama, performance or acting and / or relevant teaching qualifications and / or experience. Age Groups: mainly 5-11 years with 1 Youth Theatre class from age 11

Must have driving licence and own car.

Commitment: Must be available with no clashing commitments for the next academic year – September 18 – July 19.

  • This is a maternity leave cover part-time teaching position.
  • Our curriculum will be provided: this is specially written to help children grow in confidence, self-esteem, develop communication and performance skills.
  • Some administration is involved and accuracy is important.

 Full training in our curriculum and ongoing training provided. Subject to DBS check and satisfactory completion of training.
