Creative Engagement Manager

Leeds Grand Theatre & Opera House Ltd is committed to increasing access to the arts, through our much-loved historic theatres and cinema and we are now seeking an innovative and creative thinker to join the Learning Team. Leading on the development and delivery of a new Creative Engagement Strategy the role will form a significant part of the Learning Management Team. With experience of managing a varied programme of work with young people and associated staff, applicants will have the ability to think strategically, work collaboratively and have a passion for inspiring young people through the arts. The ideal candidate will thrive on managing multiple projects and partners alongside raising additional income to support the sustainability of the programme.

Arts Administration Apprentice – Fixed Term 18 months

We have an exciting opportunity for an Arts Administration Apprentice to join our busy Learning Team, who work across our three historic venues. Providing administration support to facilitate the Learning Programme and the city wide training provision for young people ‘Grand Futures’, the role would offer a fantastic introduction to working in the arts. With opportunities to gain new skills and experiences and network with other arts organisations the role is suitable for someone who has strong administration, communication and IT skills, an appetite for learning and a passion for increasing opportunities for young people. The role will work towards a Level 3 Certificate in Community Arts Management.

Please note that candidates who hold a higher education qualification (for example degree, HND), aren't eligible for college funding to complete the apprenticeship.

Freelance Tender – Youth Theatre Assistant/Assistant Director: January – July 2018

We are now recruiting a freelance Youth Theatre Assistant/Assistant Director to support our City Varieties Youth Theatre and Leeds Actors in Training programmes, under the guidance of Artistic Director Lizi Patch. We’re looking for an innovative and dynamic Assistant, perhaps at the beginning of their career, with a passion for inspiring and empowering young people through youth theatre.

Interviews will take place on: Tuesday 16th January 2018
