We are seeking a creative education professional who will thrive in a strategic management role, overseeing a growing accredited programme of work. The successful candidate will use their experience and expertise in arts, community or formal education environments to quality assure the projects and expand targeted outreach for the courses and secure new referral pathways to FE and HE.  As well as curriculum management the role oversees inclusive practices and pastoral care to ensure successful recruitment, retention and achievement for NYT’s life changing educational offer. We are looking for an individual that also has a strong creative or educational practice as the manager will deliver up to 3 creative or study skills units on the Playing Up course over the year. Candidates should have at least three years professional experience (preferably at managerial level) in a formal or creative education environment, be passionate about high-quality, inclusive and creative education and match the charity’s ambition to expand arts opportunities to marginalised and NEET young people.  

 

The National Youth Theatre is a world-leading youth arts charity that discovers, nurtures and launches Britain’s best young creative talent. The charity is looking for a dynamic project manager to fulfil a maternity leave position for up to a year, leading the NYT’s flagship inclusion programme, Playing Up. This role is responsible for the management and delivery of NYT’s Level 2 and 3 OCN accredited Access to Higher Education courses for young people aged 19 -25 years old.

Salary: £30,000 to £32,000 in line with experience. The role is a Maternity Cover position for up to one year with a pro rata salary.
