Sheffield Students' Union - Media & Performance Coordinator
Thursday 7 June 2018
Can you support students to produce leading media and performance?
As part of the Specialist Development Team, the Media and Performance Coordinator provides support and development for our exciting student-led media, cinema and theatre performance activity.
This includes support for our award-winning Forge Media, who produce a fortnightly 48-page newspaper, 24/7 student radio station and a TV production company; Film Unit, our independent cinema which has been running weekly screenings for almost 70 years; and SUTCo, our student theatre committee, who produce eight shows a year.
With a multitude of other creative societies and groups from Performing Arts and Film-Making, to Creative Writing and Light Entertainment, the role offers remarkable scope to work with a host of creative and ambitious student talent.
An excellent project manager, with experience of media and/or the arts, alongside a passion for developing student volunteers, you’ll provide specialist training, guidance and advice, as well as mentoring and coaching students to produce great media content, drama productions and creative performances.
This is an exciting, dynamic and varied role that allows you to work with inspirational student groups on their creative practice, honing their craft, production and events. With plenty of opportunities for personal development, this role will suit someone who enjoys supporting others in their learning, using your own experience to improve others’.
