The Manchester Men’s Room - Head of Creative Provision

Tuesday 13 February 2018

For the last 13 years we have creatively engaged and supported marginalised and chaotic young men.  We place socially engaged participatory arts practice at the core of our work. The centrality of the arts to our engagement allows us to develop trust and establish positive and productive relationships with young men living extremely chaotic, marginalised and often harmful lives.

With the support of the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation we are recruiting a Head of Creative Provision, on a 4 year contract, based in our office in central Manchester. The successful candidate will develop and expand our existing provision ensuring our award winning and innovative approach continues to reach, engage, support and empower vulnerable young men across Manchester.

Working with key partners from across the arts, voluntary and statutory sectors they will enable the men we work with to access services and opportunities that enhance their personal development and improve their well-being.

The Head of Creative Provision will lead on the strategic development and operational implementation of our provision, supporting and empowering young men with complex needs. The post holder will build on an artistic approach that develops positive engagement through the arts; fostering social, personal and emotional development for men accessing the service and develop new links and opportunities for engagement across the city and beyond.
