Theatre Royal Plymouth - Learning Producer

The Learning Producer is the organisation’s principal contact for developing relationships, and communicating with schools, colleges and universities across the city and region. Working with a range of partners, freelancers and staff from the Theatre Royal, the post will manage participatory opportunities connected to the artistic programme, as well as a number of creative projects with primary, secondary and special schools.

Working alongside the Head of Learning, the Learning Producer will take a strategic overview of the formal education programme, ensuring up-to-date knowledge of policy and of the sector.  The Learning Producer delivers and manages Playhouse, the School Challenge, Tiny Tales and the Reach workshops, and manages and initiates other relevant projects

The Learning Producer will also work closely with marketing, media & communications, production and front of house, developing links between the Theatre Royal and education institutions, in Plymouth and the region; creating networks and developing relationships.

The Learning Producer will keep abreast of funding opportunities, and in consultation with the Director of Engagement and Learning and the Head of Learning will contribute to funding applications as appropriate.  The Learning Producer will monitor and evaluate all projects.   

The Learning Producer will work collaboratively with all members of the department to ensure that the programme is coherent, opportunities are shared and understood.
