Creative Youth (CY), which manages the International Youth Arts Festival (IYAF), is entering an exciting period of review and development. As part of our ambitions we are seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial person who is keen to take their career up a notch and be part of this journey!
The role of Festival Director for IYAF is a fantastic opportunity for a creative producer/programmer who is keen to put their own stamp on developing and “heading up” the largest youth arts Festival in the UK. Based in Kingston upon Thames, IYAF sees over 200 events and 1200 participants involved each year. We are looking for someone who can build upon this success working with a small team and key local partners.
The ideal applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to, and experience of, working in an arts and young people context. They will have a strategic creative eye, be a good marketeer, love working as part of a team and be willing to embrace all the detail that will go with this demanding and varied senior position.
This role is offered on a freelance basis at £140 fee per day with an average of 3 days per week. A fixed term contract will be offered initially, from appointment to the end Sep 2019, with the aim to extend well into the future.
