Cardboard Citizens workshop at York Theatre Royal

Monday 14 October 2013

There are 7 places available on Forum Theatre training for practitioners, which will be held at York Theatre Royal on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th November 10am-5.30pm.

Forum Theatre Training - facilitated by Tony McBride, Director of Projects with Cardboard Citizens.

An interactive workshop on the theory, practice and application of Forum Theatre.

Tony will introduce participants to the broader mechanics and applications of Forum Theatre practice, as well as focussing practically on more specific and manageable Image Theatre techniques.

He will facilitate the group through some of the classic Forum Theatre games and exercises, as developed and pioneered by its originator Augusto Boal.

The exploration of the techniques will focus on particular issues of concern, as identified by the group itself.

The workshop will include watching short DVDs that demonstrate how the theatre practice works in homeless contexts.

Places are £70 for the 2 days and will be offered on a first come first served basis.
