Your Story

NAYT wants to feature stories about your youth theatre, its journey, challenges and successes.

We also want to feature stories of those who staff youth theatres, your journeys and why the work is important to you. And of course, if young people would like to tell their youth theatre stories, we would love to hear them.

We’re looking for writers to contribute short features, longer articles, provocation pieces or conjectures, to appear on the NAYT website.  The aim of the site is to inform, challenge and stimulate not just the youth theatre sector but practitioners from other sectors with whom youth theatres might profitably form working links; sectors such as young peoples’ theatre, mainstream theatre, dance, music, circus, education, youth work, youth justice, heritage, health, history, politics and social policy etc.

We cannot offer you a fee this time but your contribution will be important in re-invigorating the sector’s appetite for critical debate and creative collaborations.

As a guide to one-off articles and pieces by columnists somewhere near 300 words minimum up to a maximum of 500 words.
