NTR Youth Theatre

The New Theatre Royal Portsmouth's Youth Theatre is open to all young people aged 5-16, providing engaging weekly workshops that allow young people to have fun and express themselves in a safe, supportive and friendly environment. All youth theatre members are given the opportunity to develop a range of performances skills, as well as essential life skills, in weekly term time workshops. We work collaboratively with NTR's professional practitioners and artists, challenging and supporting our groups to make bold, high quality performances for stage, studio and street. The New Theatre Royal is at an exciting time of development, and soon our Youth Theatre will have its home in our brand new Minghella Creative Learning Space, opening up further opportunities for workshops and performances.
